I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful community! I wanted to start this Substack by sharing a little about myself and my culinary journey.
My childhood passion for baking and cooking for friends and family evolved into a professional journey when I decided to apply to Le Cordon Bleu for a Basic Pastry Certificate program one summer between my college courses. That experience was truly life-changing, it fulfilled me creatively in ways I never imagined. Afterward, I became part of the pastry team at the Michelin-starred Gucci Osteria in Beverly Hills, where I deepened my love for pastry and had the opportunity to work alongside incredibly talented chefs. Later, I returned to Le Cordon Bleu, this time in London, to earn my Intermediate Pastry Certificate. During that time, I launched the idea for Talula’s Kitchen, a bespoke dessert catering and specialty pastry business specializing in cookies, tartlets, seasonal bundt cakes, and more. I catered weddings, birthdays, corporate meetings, graduations, and provided holiday gifts, as well as selling at boutique events.
This past February, I launched my signature Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix. After sharing my recipes with friends and realizing they weren’t getting the same results, I decided to create a mix that delivers a consistently perfect cookie, chewy in the center with crisp edges. The mix is crafted with premium semisweet chocolate that has hints of vanilla and organic ingredients free from additives. Plus, the packaging is sustainable, making it a product I’m incredibly proud to have created.
